Leigh at Dan and Carolina’s Wedding

This impromptu performance took place at the wedding reception of our friends’ Dan and Carolina Cooney in the Japanese Friendship Garden of San Diego, California (on the Friday of Comic Con). The backup band were just a bunch of high school kids, but they really showed their improvising chops. And I do believe Leigh was at his best here. He made BPM proud that night.

Battle Cry Soundtrack

I was cleaning out my hard drive and found this playlist that I used while making my “Battle Cry” comic. I also used it while playing Call of Duty II. I know it’s pretty meaningless to the reader, but I thought it would provide some insight into my state of mind while drawing (and killing). I don’t know about you, but I always find this shit fascinating. What’s also cool is, that every time I listen to these songs, it brings me back to the time I was either reading my Two-Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat comics on the subway, playing multiplayer team deathmatches in Call of Duty II, or drawing my WWII comic. Enjoy.

the holidays are over and it’s time to get back to work. 2008 rolls out ahead of us with nothing guaranteed save for sleepless nights, long hours, bouts of lonely frustration hovering over drawing tables, the soft glow of computer monitors and the waxy pallor of people that don’t keep store hours… and if you were us you’d know that you’d be pretty damn happy about that. here’s a little something for people to gnaw on. it’s a cropped detail of the title page for GRAVEL ROADS, a short story that i cooked up a little while ago. it’s got racing muscle cars and pretty ladies and is a touch more fun than the mope-fest that was THE BIG GO ROUND. i’ll post more later as i get it done. cheers!-g

Hi Folks.

I’m the third guy in this trio and a bit of a procrastinator (as it seems). I am a huge fan of science fiction and a bunch of my stories tend to veer in that direction whether I want them to or not. So in the spirit of science fiction, I would like to impart to you, the fine funny book readers, a glimpse into the future.

I write a ton of stories and even though I would like to complete all the stories that I commit to composition notebook paper, I’m sure time will not permit me to…

… or will it?

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this glimpse of Bloody Pulp Magazine yet to come.
